Biography
Christopher Bryant received his doctorate in 1970 from the London School of Economics and Political Science when he was 24 years old. His research has been focused on: periurban agriculture and its relationships with cities for almost 50 years; the adaptation of agriculture to climate change and variability (25 years); and local and community development (30 years), with extensive publications and communications in all three domains.. He has been a professor at the University of Waterloo and the University of Montreal, and is currently Adjunct Professor at the Universities of Montreal and Guelph.
